Rolling Out the Virtual Red Carpet
![]() | |
What a compliment!
Laura Martone — As in SMART ONE ... only without the "S". Sure, she probably doesn't pronounce it like that, but she clearly is. When she's not traveling around writing for Moon Travel Guides or working on her novel, she still finds time to write a personal blog called Laura's Simple Pleasures.
In keeping with the spirit of the award, I'm asked to pay it forward to five blogs I think are...
B: Beautiful
I: Informative
N: Neighborly
G: Gorgeous
O: Outstanding
This is tough, because there are so many that fit that bill. Plus, it's kind of like an awkward cocktail party moment — You know the feeling when someone starts talking to you like you've met before, but you have no idea how or when? I find new blogs all the time that catch my attention — none of these people, naturally, know me from Adam's house cat.
So without further ado... Allow me to roll out the virtual red carpet and introduce you to five "BINGO Award-Worthy" sites you might enjoy.
Chookooloonks
She takes beautiful photos of things many take for granted, and always seems to find something inspirational to say about it.
Junk Drawer Blog
Her description: "Fresh and delicious stories about anything that amuses me, confuses me, or makes me blow a gasket." Funny stuff.
Let's Have a Cocktail
Does this require an explanation? I think she's sharp and funny.
Shmutzie
This blog made me go through my address book wondering why I don't know anyone who owns leather pants. I laughed out loud at her story Dead Cow Bloomers and have been following her posts since.
World's Strongest Librarian
His article Adventures in Narcissism is what first got my attention — the story of a badly dressed man with a ridiculous tattoo. Most of what you'll find here is uplifting or encouraging. With good book recommendations too.
In other news...
This bliggity blog has gone 2.0... I've recently set up pages on Facebook and Twitter. Friend or Follow if you feel so inclined. Either way, thank you for reading. And thanks again Laura (S)Martone!
