I Will Love Said Loveman: Found Poetry

I found this interesting website called Found Magazine. They collect found stuff: love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework, to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, doodles— anything that gives a glimpse into someone else's life. The public peanut gallery then gets to speculate about its original author and wonder what their life is like.

I have a worthy submission, but I'll share it with you here instead. It's a poem. Found in a vacation home guest book. Penned by an obviously drunk person sharing the drama of a serious crush. This was the topic of quite in-depth analysis among my friends that were on that trip.

Who was the author? Man or woman? Is this describing a love affair or an unrequited crush?

I told you before that you probably have a fan club somewhere in the world. The Super Loveman described below certainly does. Read this poem, and grow strong....

I WILL LOVE SAID LOVEMAN
Author Unknown

I can't see his eyes, though he can see mine.
Such is his power.

He slept on the floor even though
there were 10 beds.

Tonight they might they might merge
into one Loveman.

I will love said loveman.
Together we will do gin shots of gin.

Matt Ballard!
Matt Ballard!

He gives the life energy housed in his teet.
Drink from Matt Ballard and grow strong.
